A quick update.

December 8, 2015

So I am going to be switching families in the next week. I could not take the stress and sadness that my last host family was bringing to me. Always insulting me, saying things like I’m rude and comments about my perfume, clothes, and hair. I don’t want to be sad my whole exchange year so I am therefore switching. I deserve to be happy and have a family that will treat me well.

My 17th Birthday

October 28, 2015

My day had started off and I was not having a good day at all. I was in such a bad mood. But something happened that totally changed my day. One of my classmates baked and brought me a cake! I honestly was super surprised. I had no idea it was coming. But the thing that stood out to me the most was the fact that the cake had candles that were lit. In the U.S., this would never happen. After I blew them out my friend lit them again during the lesson and I didn’t blow them out for the second time until like 15 minutes.

9 days left..

August 24, 2015

With only 9 days left before I leave to go to Austria, I feel like I still have all the time in the world. The fact that I’m leaving has not hit me yet. On Saturday, my friend is coming over to help me pack my whole life into 2 bags. I am starting to freak out more and more everyday. I have many worries of how I will adjust and will I make friends. My American school had its first day today and I got to sit home while everyone else went back and got to see each other. I saw many back to school photos and it has me a little bit upset that I don’t get to see my friends.
